The Job: As the Sales Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to actively drive, manage, and present the technology evaluation sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for Dealertrack Dealer Management System (DMS). Your exemplary presentation skills and genuine enthusiasm are vital in walking new and existing clients through the DMS software. As the Sales Engineer, you serve as the conduit between our customers and product development for product enhancements. You excel at establishing and maintaining strong relationships throughout the sales cycles through multiple channels. The successful candidate for the Sales Engineer role will work out of our office in South Jordan, Utah or Dallas, Texas. For the right candidate, a remote/home office location is fine. Your Role: * Provide exemplary pre-sales technical expertise through technical and product presentations, demonstrations, and pilot implementations. * Demonstrate key aspects of the Dealertrack DMS solution to prospects and clients, focusing on audience needs and solution features and benefits * Support the Dealertrack vision of delivering a suite of integrated technologies by demonstrating a complete workflow among all Dealertrack solutions to sales prospects and current clients * Support and promote sales activity through effective partnering with sales field staff, and resolving prospect and customer issues * Provide technical assistance to sales teams, prospects, customers, and other team members at a tier two level * Answer technical inquiries and pricing for Dealers and End-Users * Prepare system quotations with sales * Act as liaison between the Sales, Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams as needed * Assist Sales team members in structuring proposals, including installation staffing and solution configuration * Act as a Subject Matter Expert for assigned applications, including providing regular updates and team training * Use CRM software to track all sales activity and opportunities * Identify, enter and track support and enhancement cases to improve the Dealertrack customer experience * Suggest appropriate new strategies * Gather and maintain competitive information, stay in touch with car dealership needs, and identify areas for continued product growth What We Look For: * Bachelor s degree or 4 years experience in related field * 3-5 years experience presenting technical solutions over the phone * Success in moving clients from the demonstration to the close phase * Ability to learn software solutions quickly in a formal training setting * Previous experience in sales is desirable * Must be able to interact effectively with fellow Team Members, management, and clients * Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills * Experience in building presentations with strong ROI preferred * Live software presentation skills * Organized and time management skills * Some travel required Company: Dealertrack IND123
