Compensation ManagerLocation: Burlington, VTThe Compensation Manager is responsible for managing activities relating to the design, development, implementation, administration and communication of direct compensation programs.Leads compensation process improvement project(s) and develops the design/redesign of pay policies and programs that support the hospitals compensation philosophy, goals and objectives. Communicates compensation information across the organization by developing, reviewing, and validating plan correspondence; conducting presentations; developing and presenting training delivery plans; and educating others to roll out the plan across the division.Analyzes, reviews, and proposes compensation programs by researching and analyzing industry and legislative trends, best practices, and current plan usage; benchmarking labor segments and competitors; assisting in the review of compensation components (for example, base salary, incentives); presenting proposed programs to senior leadership for approval; and collaborating with cross-functional areas (HR, Payroll, Legal).Ensures compliance with compensation laws and regulations by creating or enhancing processes and policies; monitoring and responding to new and emerging legislation; interacting with internal and external legal counsel; preparing and maintaining required documents; executing corporate reporting; and assisting with the education of cross-functional teams and internal divisions regarding issues and implications to ensure compliance.Provides supervision and development opportunities for compensation analysts.Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments for Compensation by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Business or related field OR 4 years experience in compensation, finance, human resources, or related field.
